What to Buy for your First Outdoor Market
Making the step to take your small shop on the road to setup at a festival or market can be intimidating and sometimes very overwhelming. You may have seen setups at markets but are unsure of what you need and what you can pay. I have been at several different kinds of outdoor and indoor markets and I am here to share with you my favorite tried and true items for my setup. Remember, your setup should be attractive as well as functional and it is better to invest in good quality items over cheaper ones that you'll have to replace.
My list of must have market setup items with links (YAY):
1. Small pegboards that attach to a table:
These are so helpful and inexpensive:

Don't forget the table attachers that are sold separately:

The hooks:

2. Sturdy folding tables:
I love this one because it is one height, is 6 ft long and has a carrying handle:
3. An Awning with walls and weights
Spendy but will hold up to wind and rain:
4.Clear Boxes with Latching Lids
Essential to finding what you need:
5. A rolling cart
You never know how far you will walk:
6. A Cash Box with lock
Yes people still pay with cash, about 50%. I use to dig through a stack of bills and a jar of coins for change, I don't recommend it!
BONUS Investment:
Collapsible shelves and displays:
